How to Use the Pratt Custom Packaging Design Tool

Pratt’s new custom packaging design tool gives you the ability to quickly design the packaging of your dreams. Start by uploading your logo in just a few clicks. You can then choose from one of our professionally designed patterns and box templates or dive right into the customizer and add your own images and colors. Mix and match your brand’s colors with our templates, or upload your own design assets for a truly custom and unique packaging look for your customers.

Here’s how to use our custom packaging design tool.

Choose Your Packaging Type

From our homepage, choose from our collection of Custom Shipping Boxes, Custom Mailer Boxes, or Custom Pizza Boxes.

Once you choose your box type, you’ll be prompted to start designing your custom packaging.

Choose your packaging size and material, then start by uploading your logo. Click on “Get Started.”

Our available templates will start to populate on your screen.

Choose your desired design and click to personalize it! You can also start from a blank box.

In the customizer tool, you’ll see the following editing buttons above the 3D view of your box on your screen:

These buttons let you add customizations to your packaging. You can add text, upload an image, add a pattern from our library of designs, change the color of your box, or add a logo quickly.

Add Text

To add text to your packaging, click on the first button above your packaging with an “A,” then click on the side of the package to which you would like to add your text.

A window will pop up at the bottom left corner of your screen that looks like this:

Edit your text using the first text box. Change the font of your text by using the font drop down menu under the text box.

You can also change the color of your font by choosing a new color, or by clicking the “tint” button on the bottom row to pick a color that matches your uploaded logo.

Add an Image

To add an image to your packaging, click the second button from the left on the row of editing buttons above your item. Then, select the side to which you would like to add your image.

You can upload an image from your local drive, or add one from our media gallery. We like using this button to add relevant icons to our packaging, such as social media icons and fragile packaging markers.

Add a Pattern

To add a pattern to your packaging, click on the third button from the left on the row of editing buttons above your item. Then, select the side to which you would like to add a pattern.

This will pull up our gallery of professionally designed patterns. Choose your pattern and click on it to apply it to your selected side. You’ll be able to resize or rotate your pattern using the slider bars located at the bottom left corner of your screen.

Add Color

To add a color fill to your packaging sides, click on the button with the paint icon located on the row of editing buttons above your item. Then, select the side to which you would like to add color.

Choose your color from the color picker, or use a color we’ve automatically picked from your uploaded logo.

Add Logo

To add your logo to another box side, click on the “Add Logo” button located on the row of editing buttons above your item. Then, select the side to which you would like to add your logo.

Your pre-uploaded logo will populate on your selected side.

Once you’ve completed your packaging design, name your design and save it by clicking on the floppy disk icon at the bottom right corner of the customizer screen. You can create an account with us to keep your designs saved for easy shopping in the future. To do this, click on the “save design” button, then follow the prompts to create an account with us. You can view your saved designs by clicking “Back to Designs,” then clicking on “My Designs” at the top of your screen.

Just like that, you’ve created your dream box! Next, confirm your packaging quantity and add it to your cart. Then sit back and relax — we’ve got the rest covered. Your one-of-a-kind custom packaging will be ready to ship in as fast as three business days.
